Nourishing face masks you can make at home
An extra portion of moisture for your face
Take a moment for yourself and pamper your skin with an extra portion of moisture. Relaxing face masks provide intensive care and give your skin a healthy glow.
Nourishing face mask with Weleda Skin Food
Skin Food can be used once a week as an intensive and nourishing mask for the face, neck and décolletage. Apply Skin Food liberally to your face so that it remains visible on the skin. Leave on for 10 to 15 minutes, then remove with a warm, moist compress.
Close your eyes, lie down and relax; it’s also nice to do this in the bathtub.
If your neck shows signs of ageing, you can use Skin Food’s nourishing and hydrating effects to give it an extra portion of care before going to bed. Use circular movements to massage the cream into your neck. Use the left hand for the right half of the neck, and the right hand for the left half of the neck. Leave on overnight.
How can a face mask help my skin?
You can extend your daily skincare routine by applying a relaxing face mask. The face mask works mainly by occlusion, sealing moisture into your skin to provide intensive hydration to the stratum corneum (the outermost layer of the epidermis). To intensify the process, treat yourself to a warm compress before and after the procedure, and finish with a cold compress.
Make a compress by folding a small towel lengthwise and then soaking it in warm water. It’s best to use a small bowl for this. The water temperature should be comfortable to the touch, not too hot. Wring out the cloth to remove excess water and apply the warm, moist compress to the face. You can leave the compress on your skin for as long as it is comfortable.
